National Black Members’ Conference

Each year we send 4 delegates to the National Black Members Conference. Here is some feedback from February 2020:

“The conference was refreshing and encouraging as it helped to motivate me to be an active member of the Union and encourage other to join and become active. We had a wonderful time networking and learning more about UNISON. Now looking forward to growing a stronger Union.”
– Lydia

“Thank you so much for organising the trip to the BMC, it was educational, informative and very inspiring, I want to become an active member of unison and hope to start by being a steward. Also, one of the first things I did when I got home was to encourage my son to join Unison, and he has agreed to join as a young member.”
– Paulette

“I enjoyed the whole atmosphere and will be more active with union activities, especially attending meetings when required.”
– Paul
