What’s a convenor?
Your office convenor is the elected rep who spends some time each week supporting members in your workplace/area. Every year we hold an election for almost every position in the branch and every member can vote for the convenor who they want to represent them. Some convenors spend 1-2 days working in the office each week (on part-time release) while others work for the union all week long (on full-time release). The convenor’s job is to provide you with confidential workplace support using their experience and expertise developed through specialised training paid for by the union. You can see a list of our office personnel here.
